Torn

I am still trying to decide which PowerBook I want. When my mom and I paid a visit to the Apple store in Houston I messed with the 12″ and the 15″ and while the 12″ was ultraportable and fairly compact the 15″ had more speed and was a little thinner.

Yesterday I was working on my bosses 15″ and I really liked it. The only thing that is a downside is the weight. It seems a little heavy but I guess that is something that I can get over.

Now to save up some cash and buy the thing! What options am I wanting with it? Well, I don’t need the SuperDrive so I will probably load up the 15″ model with 1GB RAM and that’s about it. I might get a carrying case as well, haven’t really decided.

Sean Hannity

I decided to see what Sean Hannity was all about so I streamed today’s broadcast. He has a great show and presents the “right” very well (at least in my opinion). Tonight he focused a lot on Kerry’s job and how little he has done at his current position. The best point he made was that Kerry had poor showings at the intelligence committee meetings after 9/11. Yet Kerry wants to make you think he’s been on top of the intelligence game this whole time.

I really don’t like Kerry/Bush bashing but I think that Mr. Hannity presents the facts in a decent manner without belittling anyone. He had Bush Sr. on his show and he asked some tough questions but he let the former president answer them without twisting the facts around.

Definitely one of the better radio broadcasts that I’ve heard.

The Beautiful First Weekend of College Football

I’ve spent most of the weekend catching as many football games as possible, even if only on the radio.

Texas Tech got off to a slow start last night with our place kicker missing a field goal and an extra point (why is this guy still on the team?). Tech went on to win 27 to 13.

Surprisingly Bowling Green State University stuck with Oklahoma to only lose by 18. I was waiting for Oklahoma to step all over them (kind of like Texas did to UNT).

The Weekend

The first week of school is over and the weekend is here. So far school has been treating me well and my classes seem like they are going to be interesting and easy (always a good thing).

Political Science has been exactly what I expected, hard to pay attention in. The professor is scatter brained and likes to change the subject from government to religion but does not inform anyone that that is what she’s doing.

I will probably end up working some this weekend. I ran into a database problem with a current project and I need to get it resolved ASAP. Don’t you just love how little things always seem to pop up?
