Pepsi Vanilla, mmmm…

Well if you haven’t tried Pepsi Vanilla, now would be the time. I had one this morning and it blows Vanilla Coke out of the water anytime. The thing with Vanilla Coke was that it was too sweet and didn’t have a real Coca-Cola flavor. Pepsi Vanilla is much better and you can actually drink a whole can without feeling like you are getting sick.

Besides that I am trying to get away from cokes. I haven’t been too successful lately, but I am going to keep trying. A friend of mine had really bad headaches and couldn’t sleep for a while, when she stopped drinking cokes the symptoms dissappeared, go figure.

long time…

Well I haven’t updated the site in a while so I thought I would today. I need to change the class schedule and such to reflect the new classes I am taking but have been too busy with the start of school to even think about it.

School has gone pretty well so far except for the fact that Tech somehow overscheduled a class and decided to fix it a week into classes. Needless to say, I had to drop that class (Political Science) and I haven’t been able to find anything that can take its place.

Texas Tech football is doing pretty well so far, we are 2-0 against teams outside the Big 12 but we may have some trouble once we start playing inside our conference. I think that the A&M game will be the test for our defense (which is starting 4 freshman). If we can stop the A&M run I think we will be able to take on the Texas run as well. I still think that OU is gonna stomp on us but I’ll still support the team 😉

almost

I am almost done working on a new design. I need to finish up a few little design things and then get the database and programming side working like I want it to.

So what else is new? Nothing too exciting except for the fact that I may be able to get my truck back tomorrow instead of the end of this week… Now I just have to wait for the insurance check to pay for the damages.

I will probably start packing soon to go back. Gotta get a few things for the apartment and make sure everything is covered.

No reason

Well there is no real reason for me to post anything tonight except for the fact that I am bored. I have come to realize that Sugar Land is a town with nothing to offer to really offer a teenager or college student. It is basically a city drowning in money from businessmen, athletes, and musicians. I don’t know of a single part of Sugar Land that I would call “poverty stricken”. Some of you may say that that is a good thing but to me it just means that we are so well off that we don’t know what it’s like to have the poor next to the rich.

Once again

I didn’t get around to putting the new design up and I don’t know if I ever will 🙁

It rained most of the day today so now I have to mow tomorrow, *sarcasm* yay. I am also hoping to find the parts I need from Ford, so a stop by the dealership would probably be a good idea 🙂

Think!

I am trying to think of a new name for the site, but I haven’t been able to come up with anything that is good…

I have finally decided a new color scheme, well, I think I have decided. Maybe the new design will be up by the end of today, if I don’t have to put up with someone complaining about me uploading it while they play a game.

So what’s been going on?

You may (or you may not, who knows) be wondering why I haven’t been updating the website in a while. Well, I am working on a new design for it and I just can’t get it to look right so I am trying to figure that out while at the same time trying to do some web work for some other people.

You may have noticed the ads at the tops of some of the pages as well. I decided that I needed to try and make a little money while doing this whole web thing, so I added them. They only pay out if someone clicks on them so if something interests you on one of them, click it and we are going to both like the results 😉

Other than that the only news is that my truck is in the shop for two weeks now and Lyndsay’s family may have decided on a house. Anyway, I hope to have a new design up soon, as you can tell, I am not a visual person =)

ok….

Yeah, so I haven’t updated the site like I said I would but I haven’t been able to come up with anything that looks halfway decent…. I am going to work on it tomorrow and hopefully come up with something that is pleasing to the eye and fast.

changes…

Well I will be working on a new content system for the site as well as a new look. Hopefully I will get smilies and a new design up by tomorrow. It all depends if I get the good ‘ole Ford Bronco washed and cleaned out or not… I also hope to get the message board working so that it doesn’t display e-mail addresses as it does now (so that they don’t get spidered and you get spam).

You should check out http://www.ensight.org for some “techy” type stuff… It is a blog that a few of the staff at http://www.sitepointforums.com put together to post computer and technology related articles and news. I was invited to start posting a few days ago and have made a few postings already… Check it out, you might find it interesting or boring, depending on how technology interested you are =)

wow!!

Well Lyndsay and I went to Surfside beach on Saturday with my buddy Andy and his girlfriend. I did some boogie boarding and swam out about a quarter of mile off shore just to see if I could. The surprising thing was that the beach was actually nice!! Since Surfside is near the refineries and the offshore oil rigs can be seen from the beach the water sometimes (most of the time) is brown and hard to see…. But on Saturday it wasn’t bad at all, we had crystal clear water most of the way out with a little seaweed, but no biggie. I did get a horrible sunburn which has now turned my chest and back almost purple… I’ll never go to the beach without sunblock again!!

The pain is so bad I haven’t really moved in two days. I have tried this Aloe Vera stuff and it works for about, ohhh, 20 minutes, then I have to put more of it on!! Anyway, I guess it’s my fault and I should have listened to my mother (yeah, she’ll love hearing that) and put sunblock on. Lyndsay and I have both learned a valuable lesson; sunscreen is a must!!! =)
