Google and Meta tags…

There is a big debate going on at Sitepoint about whether or not Google uses the Meta tags in a site’s declaration. http://www.sitepointforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=122916

you can read the thread there and make up your own mind. From what I have gathered, Google only uses the tags to fill out a summary of the site, not to rank it.

I saw a brand new F-150 driving around yesterday and wow was it nice. Definitely going to have to go take a closer look/test drive one at the local dealership.

Accounting…

Accounting has just taken a leap to being the hardest class this semester. Statistics is just confusing with a teacher who can’t speak English but Accounting is plain hard. So much to remember and everything builds on the thing before it… I have done all of the homework for the class and I still have a hard time understand debits and credits but I think it is because you have to look at everything from the business perspective and not the consumer.

teaching requirements

I was sitting in my statistics class today and I realized that there should be rules when it comes to teaching. I believe the ability to speak clear, fluent english should be at the top of the list. Apparently Tech doesn’t feel the same way. I catch about every 8th word my teacher says which is awful! I’ve met 4 yr. old kids who know how to speak better english! The woman did not know how to pronounce sophomore! It isn’t even that hard, just try… And don’t tell me to get another teacher because Tech is packed to the rafters and there isn’t a single statistics class with a seat in it…

Pepsi Vanilla, mmmm…

Well if you haven’t tried Pepsi Vanilla, now would be the time. I had one this morning and it blows Vanilla Coke out of the water anytime. The thing with Vanilla Coke was that it was too sweet and didn’t have a real Coca-Cola flavor. Pepsi Vanilla is much better and you can actually drink a whole can without feeling like you are getting sick.

Besides that I am trying to get away from cokes. I haven’t been too successful lately, but I am going to keep trying. A friend of mine had really bad headaches and couldn’t sleep for a while, when she stopped drinking cokes the symptoms dissappeared, go figure.

long time…

Well I haven’t updated the site in a while so I thought I would today. I need to change the class schedule and such to reflect the new classes I am taking but have been too busy with the start of school to even think about it.

School has gone pretty well so far except for the fact that Tech somehow overscheduled a class and decided to fix it a week into classes. Needless to say, I had to drop that class (Political Science) and I haven’t been able to find anything that can take its place.

Texas Tech football is doing pretty well so far, we are 2-0 against teams outside the Big 12 but we may have some trouble once we start playing inside our conference. I think that the A&M game will be the test for our defense (which is starting 4 freshman). If we can stop the A&M run I think we will be able to take on the Texas run as well. I still think that OU is gonna stomp on us but I’ll still support the team 😉
