After all of my searching I found a house that I liked and that fit inside of my price range. The roommate seemed nice and the house was completely renovated so I went ahead and signed the lease.
The house is older, about 50 yrs. but with all of the renovations looks like something you would find in The Heights. The whole house has hardwood floors though they are going to put carpet in the bedrooms, which is perfect. The entire kitchen has been redone and looks awesome.
My roommate Brad is a nice guy. He owns the house with a co-signature from his parents and seems to take real pride in keeping it up. All in all I think it is a really good situation and I feel very lucky to have found the house when I did (thanks Courtney!).
